TITLES ascribed to Lord Ganesha:-
Ganesha has been ascribed many titles and epithets like Ganapati, Vinayaka, Vighneshvara. The Hindu title of respect Shri (in Sanskrit) or Sri is often added before his name.
A-(Ganesha as 'VIGHNESHWARA' )
Lord Ganesh is Vighneshvara or Vighnaharta the ( Lord who wards off Obstacles) both of material and spiritual order. Ganesha image serves as s medium to metaphysical ideas of Hindus functioning at a very basic level providing luck as one goes about facing daily tribulations of life.
As the God of beginning, he is honored at the start of rituals and ceremonies.
B--Ganesha as 'VINAYAKA' )
Shiva the hermit god who represents spiritual aspiration did not want to marry or raise children. Parvati his wife represents material aspiration longed to be a mother. While bathing she scrubs the turmeric paste by which she has anointed her body with and molded it into a doll, into which she breathed life. The child thus created was named Vinayaka --
One who is born without (vina)- the help of man (nayaka).
C-( Ganesha as 'GAJANAN' )
Ganpati - one With Elephant head.
Shiva did not recognize Vinayaka as the son of his wife and Vinayaka does not recognize Shiva as his mother's husband. Once he prevented Shiva from entering his own house, on his mother’s directions. An angry Shiva beheaded Vinayaka. Parvati (the mother) was inconsolable in her grief until Shiva resurrected the child by replacing his head with that of an elephant Airawat, the elephant of rain god Indra found in the north direction.
- The large head of Ganesha symbolizes broad, enlightened and wise mind.
- Ganesha has the elephant-headed face which is accepted as a symbol of high intelligence.
He is the master and bestower of high intellect and wisdom
-Elephant head refers to the god having been ascribed the strength and power of an elephant.
-As the head of an animal that knows neither scarcity nor predator, Ganesha becomes a symbol of contentment and wisdom. His corpulent form evokes not just power and abundance but also satisfaction.
D-(Ganesha as 'LAMBODAR' - one with Fat Potbelly)
Fat body with pot belly implies availability of excess food and the possibility of less work, suggesting affluence, prosperity, and large stomach to peacefully digest all the good and bad in life.
Ganesha's corpulent belly is associated with power, material abundance, satisfaction and contentment
E-(Ganpati as 'NIDDHYEY')
Ganesha represents a life full of power and prosperity.
F-( Ganesha as 'GANAPATHI' )

-Lord Ganpati is worshiped all over India for his association with fertility, arts, and wisdom as he served as a scribe to help sage Vyasa write down the epic, 'Mahabharata'.
- Ganesha is associated as lord of the Muladhara Chakra - located at the base of the spine, the base of 'kundalini ' power. Rising kundalini helps in realization of Shiva and spiritual wisdom.
H-(Ganesha as 'AMOGHSIDHYA')
-Ganesha represents s balance between the spiritual aspiration of father Shiva and material aspiration of mother Parvati. Hindus have sensed a tension and cultural conflict between the spiritual and material goals. Ganesha symbolizes a balance between the two.
- Ganesha also represents a balance between a mortal body and an immortal head.
The human body created by mother Parvati represents the material impermanent world going through cycles of life and death. Elephant body secured by father from gods represent the permanent spiritual world of wisdom.
I-(Ganesha as 'VACHASIDHAYA)-
-Lord Ganesh is also invoked as patron of language, letters & alphabets and invoked during writing sessions.

M-(Ganesha as VIKAT) - One who is very difficult. Arjun, A Pandava warrior of Mahabharata times surrendered and bowed before him(as mentioned in Shrimudbhagwat Geeta by Lord Krishna.
N-(Ganesha as Dhumraketu):-

Has two wives Riddhi and Siddhi.
'Riddhi 'balances wealth with wisdom, gives material growth. Here she replaces Lakshmi the goddess of wealth .‘Siddhi ‘grants emotional and intellectual maturity. She imparts spiritual growth. Considered as the goddess of wisdom and knowledge. She brings peace. Here she replaces Saraswati.

MOUSE represents alertness and quickness.
It is equated with hyperactive, uncontrollable human senses - the INDRIYAS which are ever wandering like a mouse in deep dark unapproachable crevices, in pursuit of material pleasures and comforts.
Lord Ganesha subjugated the mouse as his Vahan. So worshipping Ganesha, helps control the ever wandering, pleasure-seeking, human senses with the blessings of his power of wisdom and knowledge.Ganesha dispels the darkness of human inner self by illumination of the divine soul within every living being.
